Why Do I Need a Preventative Maintenance Plan?

To describe the LCC

People often ask us, what exactly is the Long Comfort Club? To put it simply, it’s an annual maintenance plan for your heating and air conditioning. We come out twice a year and make sure your unit is running efficiently, we replace your filters, and you get special benefits like Saturday service, discounts, a reduced diagnostic fee and a lot more things, all of which you can read about here.

The preventative maintenance plan is in place to make sure routine maintenance is performed on your unit  – this helps proactively diagnose any potential issues, much like getting an annual physical at your doctor’s office. It’s also great to have this in place for your home warranty company – some require you to show proof of annual preventative maintenance in order to pay out on any claims in your contract.

Call us today at 864-213-9899 and let us give you the peace of mind that lasts all year long. We can sign you up over the phone, get your first appointment scheduled, and offer you three easy payment options to choose from, all in less than five minutes.

It’s a choice for your home comfort and protection that you won’t regret!

It’s time for that tune up!

It’s that time of year again….VACATION! But, before you go, ask yourself the question “when was the last time I had my air conditioning unit checked by a professional and tuned up”? If it’s been a year or more, that’s way too long. A lot can change with your unit from daily use and weather fluctuations. “It’s best to have someone come out and check your unit twice a year just to make sure there aren’t any issues such as leaks or failures”, says our General Manager, Mark Haraway. “Our technicians are trained to specifically identify potential problems and make recommendations and repairs on the spot. That’s the confidence and trust our customers have come to expect from Long Heating and Air”.

We have a maintenance program called the Long Comfort Club (LCC) that our most loyal customers rave
about. With the LCC, our customers can have the peace of mind their unit will be running efficiently and
that any dangers or potential pitfalls will be identified early on, saving them time and money!
You can read all about the LCC right here.

This annual membership club provides you services year round, but with three easy payment options to choose from. How much simpler could it be?

Well, don’t just take our word for it, check out the nearly 900 Google reviews to see what our customers
have to say for themselves!

If you are going on vacation this summer, let us come out and check your unit before you leave. We are
happy to provide you with the peace of mind that we’ve got your home covered – not just now, but all
year long! Call us today at 864-213-9899 to schedule your appointment.

We are here to help. Let us come out and tune up your unit before the hot weather hits and is here to stay! We are offering a $99 special right now, but space is filling up fast.

Stay Warm this Winter

There are some simple and inexpensive  ways to keep warm this winter!

Programmable or Wi-Fi Thermostat
If you’ve not yet invested in a programmable or Wi-Fi thermostat, what are you waiting for? This is one of the best ways to maintain control over the temperature in your home. If you have a programmable or Wi-Fi thermostat, set your temperature 5 degrees cooler for when you are away than when you are at home. This allows for the system to cycle less while no one is at home and still keep your home at a comfortable temperature. We offer several smart thermostats, click here to request information.

Change Your Filters
Set a reminder on your calendar to change your air filters once a month. If you don’t change your filters on a regular basis, debris and allergens can build up and restrict the distribution of air flow throughout your home. The old saying “you get what you pay for” is aptly true here. Air filters should always be accordion/pleated style like the ones pictured here to provide you the best filtration.

Participate in a Maintenance Plan
We get regular check-ups at the doctor to insure our health is a priority. The same can be said for your heating and air system. Regular routine maintenance is essential to the health of your system and the comfort level in your home. In an earlier blog, I posted about what the bi-annual maintenance includes, you can read that here. Our maintenance program is the Long Comfort Club and our members receive priority 24/7 service, 20% discount on repairs, two annual maintenances and many more benefits! To learn more or to join, click here.

Having these small changes in place can make a big difference in the comfort of your home and your peace of mind. Always remember, we are here for you. Call us anytime at (864) 213-9899 with questions or service needs. We are happy to serve you!

We Care About You

The safety of our customers and employees is of the utmost importance during this time. As such, we are taking the necessary precautions to protect you and your families as we work to meet your needs.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Freshly changed gloves and shoe covers between each customer meeting.
  • The use of hand sanitizer both in the office, and our company vehicles.
  • The use of N95 masks for employees who are interacting with customers.
  • Practicing safe social distancing, and no handshakes.
  • Sanitizing of ink pens and tablets before and after each customer experience.

We have moved many of our office functions to remote through the end of April and will be heeding the direction of state and federal government agencies for any additional direction in extending this time period. For the few who are in the office, we have a daily procedure of office sanitizing as well.

We realize this can be an uncertain time and we want to assure you we are taking the necessary precautions to protect you. But, more importantly, we want to check on one another because we care.

If there is anything at all we can do for you as our customer, vendor, professional acquaintance or friend during this time, please do not hesitate to let us know.
